Well after the sad news about an Ottawa based wireless equipment manufacturer closing down some good news. My friends over at Belair Networks just closed a $17.5 million round, with $5.5 Million in V-Debt coming from Mark McQueen over at Wellington Financial, you can read about his resons for the investment. I wrote about a recent Belair deployment here.Bernard Herscovich the CEO at Belair was in charge of the Wireless division at Newbridge Networks while I was there. He was key in executing for the group, along with managing our relationship with BNI (which was not great but made Newbridge a lot of money, Thanks Nortel!), and Stanford Telecom which Newbridge eventually acquired. Bernard led the team to huge contract wins and revenue gains, it was a fun time.Congrats to the team over at Belair.
